Champagne Community Rallies after Fire at Champagne Moussé & Fils (July 2026)

The Champagne region has once again demonstrated the strength of its close-knit wine community following a fire affecting the facilities of the family-owned Champagne house Moussé & Fils in Cuisles hold by Cédric Moussé .

While the full extent of the damage is still being assessed, the incident has come as a shock to many wine professionals.

For independent Champagne producers, a winery is far more than a production site. It represents years, often generations, of dedication, craftsmanship and investment. Equipment, cellars, bottles awaiting disgorgement, and harvest preparations all form part of a delicate ecosystem that can be severely disrupted by a single unexpected event.

Our thoughts are with Cédric , the Moussé family and everyone involved at the estate. We wish them strength, courage and a swift recovery.
